Overview
rSIM is a GSMA-compliant solution that delivers enhanced resilience by actively monitoring connectivity and switching between operator networks when required.
A device labelled “rSIM Certified” has undergone rigorous joint testing by both our team and the device manufacturer to confirm full compatibility with rSIM. This process ensures that:
- rSIM is plug-and-play, providing connectivity and roaming straight out of the box.
- rSIM actively monitors your connection during operation.
- rSIM automatically switches to a backup profile and re-establishes the connection if connectivity issues are detected.
When you install rSIM in an “rSIM Certified” device, you can expect reliable operation—provided the device is correctly configured and there is an available network connection.
However, you must always carry out your own rigorous checks to ensure that the device you have chosen will meet your business needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. rSIM Certification is carried out on a specific hardware version and firmware agreed with the manufacturer during the certification process.
The device manufacturer is responsible for ensuring compatibility with versions outside of those certified and for seeking re-certification when necessary (typically after firmware updates).
For details of the certified versions, or guidance on using rSIM outside these versions, please contact the device manufacturer.
Not entirely. rSIM is designed to deliver critically resilient connectivity, but network performance can be affected by factors such as device type, location, and local carrier conditions. While we aim to provide the best possible experience, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or compatibility in every situation. Use is at your own risk, and CSL accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or costs arising from its use, including connectivity interruptions.
Certification also does not confirm that the device’s own functions work as intended (for example, that a printer can print or a security camera can stream video). For help with device setup and operation, please refer to the manufacturer’s documentation.
Why you NEED to be rSIM certified
“With rSIM’s dual-SIM connectivity and IoT management platform, our emergency systems stay online and resilient. Their technology is a core part of how we keep our promise of safety.”
— Jesse Degger, Owner, BHV-Knop
“Even short-term disruptions in connectivity uptime create significant service risks, and we needed a solution to minimise this. rSIM revolutionises connectivity resilience by constantly monitoring available networks and finding the best route to connect.”
