Carriers can launch differentiated, resilient SGP.32 services faster, without building and operating the full orchestration stack themselves

Following CSL Group’s acquisition of IoTM Solutions, rSIM is combining patented on-SIM intelligence with global orchestration across SGP.32 eIMs, carrier CMP platforms and profile-management environments.

The industry has largely treated SGP.32, the GSMA’s next-generation eSIM standard for IoT, as a provisioning capability: a way to download, enable or change a carrier profile at selected points in a device’s lifecycle. rSIM believes its greater value lies in what happens between those events.

Profile changes may be infrequent, but connectivity must work continuously. rSIM makes eSIM orchestration relevant every 60 seconds by checking whether the active profile is still delivering usable data connectivity. This turns eSIM orchestration from an occasional lifecycle function into an active availability service.

 

SIM-Side Intelligence Meets Server-Side Orchestration

rSIM’s patented on-SIM intelligence, with patent protection granted in more than 40 countries, autonomously detects a loss of usable data connectivity and initiates a switch to an alternative operator profile without relying on customer applications, device-specific software or manual intervention.

IoTM provides the server-side capability needed to operate this globally. Its platform connects to and orchestrates workflows across eIMs, carrier CMPs and profile-management systems. It already manages more than 30 million SIMs, is designed to scale beyond one billion connections, supports more than 20 CMP, API and carrier-platform integrations, and provides access to over 100 mobile operators.

The acquisition brings the core intellectual property behind rSIM’s patented on-SIM intelligence and IoTM’s server-side orchestration under common ownership for the first time.

Together, the technologies combine autonomous connectivity monitoring, orchestration across SGP.32 eIMs, carrier CMP and SM-DP+ integrations, eSIM lifecycle management, APIs, reporting and managed operational support.

For mobile operators, this addresses the two outcomes global IoT customers increasingly require: high-availability data connectivity and straightforward access to compliant local operator profiles as roaming and regulatory requirements change.

 

A New Operator Proposition

Launching SGP.32 takes more than deploying an eIM. Operators must also connect it to carrier CMPs, profile sources, APIs, workflows and operational support.

rSIM and IoTM bring these capabilities together in one service, helping operators launch differentiated global IoT offers and support complex multinational customers without building the full platform themselves.

The solution can also be delivered white-label. Operators retain their brand, customer relationships and commercial model, while rSIM provides the SIM technology and IoTM orchestrates the eIM, carrier integrations and day-to-day operations. This provides a faster, lower-effort route to market for global SGP.32 services.
