RS is a San Francisco-based investment management firm founded in 1986 and is the investment adviser for all of the RS Funds and is now an independent subsidiary of Guardian Investor Services LLC.

Our Roots

RS was founded as a subsidiary of Robertson, Stephens & Company — an investment banking firm with a business mission to serve the equity financing needs of fast-growing technology companies. Robertson Stephens' core strengths were its deep relationship with venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and other groups delivering new companies, as well as its large staff of research analysts who provided investment research.
